
This piece represents my second experiment with cloth decoupage. The wild fabric on the jewel box top and drawer fronts came from a treasure trove of cloth my mother collected. The vibrant colors, circa 1965, tickled me.
I chose pool blue to frame the drawers and dress the chunky round pulls. The sides wear saturated kiwi and magenta respectively, but -- with uncharacteristic restraint -- lack further embellishment so the vibrant flower print of the material can hum along without competition. Pin It
