The crazy purple blooms of Dr. Seuss-like jacaranda trees inspired the color scheme for Jacaranda Chair. The surfaces of the chair legs invited a varied and giddy display of designs including stacked circles in kiwi, olive & pool blue, purple curlicues on lavender, black and white polka dots and checks.
I bought the once forlorn piece at the Riverside Goodwill Store. The luxurious green fabric covering the seat -- that sets off the purple so well -- came from a formal set of drapes I got at a thrift store when we lived in the Midwest.
Which proves again that if some lovely thing sings out to me the time will come when I can use it with panache!
