Jewelry boxes make wonderful gifts. This little gem is bound for one of my daughter's dear friends as a high school graduation present. Shades of pink paint compliment the vintage fabric I decoupaged to the sides and top. When you do these smaller pieces, do you strip them?

nope, i don't strip small pieces. i work with surfaces that are already in good shape (whenever possible) and simply apply a tough, water-based primer - Zinsser 1-2-3 Bull's Eye is my favorite - before brushing on the colors.
